After authorities pull an unconscious man from the Thames River in London, a science reporter and his girlfriend are postive they know the identity of the man to be an American scientist. The man appears to die, yet comes back alive a few seconds later.Howeve, associates claim that they have very recently spoken to Docotr Stephen Rayner on the telephone, the scientist in question. Suspicions are raised when the man working in the doctor's place is not able to recall key background information. The man in the hospital has a strange glow about him and causes X-ray equipment to fail. Upon interviewing him, they find that he answerw questions seconds before they are asked.
